The second phase of Pudtol Water Supply System is officially inaugurated last January 7, 2020, Tuesday at Poblacion, Pudtol, Apayao.

The second water tank is steel elevated and has 64 cubic meters volume and is aiming to serve 2,945 populations. The said tank will supply Barangay Alem, Cabatacan, and Imelda. The project is funded with the exact amount of Php 10,000,000.00 from the Department of Interior and Local Government’s SALINTUBIG Project. SALINTUBIG program or “Sagana at Ligtas Na Tubig para sa lahat” aims to contribute to the attainment of the goal of providing potable water to the entire country.

Establishing a sustainable water system is one of the priorities of Municipal Government of Pudtol because majority of the households still have no access to safe, adequate and potable water. Most of the households’ water sources are being extracted from pumps and dug wells which are not safe or have never been examined through a Laboratory Water Analysis. One of the main objectives is to prevent waterborne diseases caused by unsafe drinking water supply and to reduce the burden of fetching water at pumps and wells.
