MLGU Pudtol 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 (𝐄𝐋𝐀) Capacity Development and Plan Formulation held at CML Beach Resort and Waterpark, Lemery, Batangas on August 31 – September 2, 2022.
The executive branch, led by Mayor Hector Reuel D. Pascua, MLGU department and section heads, together with the barangay and SK officials, the legislative branch, led by Vice Mayor Randy A. Laoat with all Sanggunian Bayan members, and representatives from the NLAs and CSOs spearheaded the formulation of the municipality’s ELA for the term 2022-2025.
The workshop aims to unify the Local Chief Executive’s Agenda with the Sanggunian Bayan Office’s Legislative Agenda to come up with the ELA. The ELA outlines the major development plans of the LGU’s elected officials that will serve as their guiding tool in the next three years. The formulation of this plan is anchored from the 10-point agenda of PBBM and the PLGU.
In a three-day workshop, MLGU and Brgy. officials and all department heads sat together and brainstormed various priority Programs, Projects and Activities for the next 3 years including some key issues that will form part of the ELA.
The DILG led by Ms. Mary Beth Micu and her team provided Technical Assistance in the crafting of the ELA by orienting the participants and presenting the new ELA template.
Part of the ELA workshop is the grouping of participants into sub-groups representing various sectors: social, economic, environment, infrastructure, and institution. The sub-group consists of Sangguniang Bayan members (legislative) and department heads (Executive), brgy officials, NLAs and CSOs that coincides with their committee chairmanship and office of concern. The sub-group members then laid out their priority programs outlined in the ELA
Mayor Hector Reuel D. Pascua reiterated the importance of participatory governance in crafting crucials plans for the municipality and its constituents and urged the continuous cooperation and unity between the Executive and the Legislative branch of MLGU-Pudtol. The mayor’s executive plan is guided by his key principles in public service: Harmony and shared Responsibility, key to Development and Prosperity (HRDP).
Vice Mayor Randy A. Laoat assured that the Sanngunian Bayan Office is in full support and will further complement the executive agenda.
Part of the ELA is the signing of the pledge of commitment by all the participants to manifest their unyeilding commitment and full support to the attainment of the MLGU’s vision.
