Amidst the gathering, the esteemed presence of Hon. Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang, Representative of the Lone District of Apayao, added prestige and significance to the occasion. Her attendance symbolized the government’s commitment to championing women’s rights and fostering an environment conducive to their empowerment.
Under the theme โ€œLipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!โ€ (A Society Fair to the New Philippines: The Capability of Women, Proven!), the celebration echoed a resounding affirmation of the nation’s progress in advancing gender equality. It underscored the collective efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable society where women’s capabilities are recognized and valued.
The Municipal Government of Pudtol took the initiative to host the PROVINCIAL WOMENโ€™S MONTH CELEBRATION on March 27, 2024, at the prestigious EKB Memorial Gymnasium and Multi-Purpose Building in Pudtol, Apayao. This significant event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the PLGU-Provincial Social Welfare & Development Office in partnership with MLGU Pudtol through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, KALIPI and FRIKAP.
The participation of empowered women from all seven municipalities highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity in advancing the cause of gender equality. As the province celebrated another milestone in the history of Iyapayao women, numerous activities were organized to amplify the message of the Womenโ€™s Month Celebration 2024 across the province.
