In a solemn and patriotic atmosphere, the 126th Philippine Independence Day was commemorated with a flag-raising ceremony on June 12, 2024. The event, held at the municipal grounds, saw the participation of Local Government Unit (LGU) officials, LGU personnel, members of the Pudtol Uniformed Retirees Association (PURA), and personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The program began with the a Prayer followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, evoking a deep sense of pride and nationalism among the attendees. Following this, the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn was sung, reflecting the aspirations and collective hope for a progressive and unified nation.
In a symbolic gesture of renewed commitment to national ideals, the participants recited the Bagong Pilipinas Pledge. This pledge serves as a reminder of the shared responsibility of every Filipino to contribute to the nationโ€™s development and uphold the values of democracy, freedom, and justice.
The presence of the Pudtol Uniformed Retirees Association added a special touch to the event, honoring those who have served and protected the country. The participation of PNP and BFP personnel underscored the importance of security and public safety in maintaining the independence and sovereignty of the nation.
