In collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)–Apayao, the Local Government Unit of Pudtol, through the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) headed by EnP. Norbert P. Abulencia, organized a two-day Capacity Development Training for Civil Society Organization (CSO) representatives taking part in the municipality’s Local Special Bodies. The event took place in the Municipal Building’s third-floor conference hall on December 22–23, 2025.
The goal of the training was to increase CSO representatives’ understanding of and involvement in local governance, specifically in the areas of planning, budgeting, and policy-making. LGOO VII Ms. Merina B. Cenu and LGOO V Mr. Joey Paul Alcantara of DILG–Apayao were resource speakers and provided insightful information about the roles, duties, and functions of CSOs in enhancing open and participatory governance.
Following the activity, the CSO representatives received certificates of participation directly from Atty. Edmar D. Pascua, Municipal Mayor of Pudtol, and Hon. Maribel L. Sipsip, Member of Sangguniang Bayan. In keeping with the Christmas spirit, each participant received a Pamaskong Handog as a token of gratitude and kindness.
Later, the occasion evolved into a Christmas program for the CSOs, strengthening ties between the local government and civil society groups and promoting cooperation and friendship.
