LOOK| The Municipality of Pudtol, in collaboration with Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)- Apayao, continues to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) facing challenges abroad through the “Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay Program”. Ms. Rejoice C. Cabrera, OWWA Apayao representative, spearheaded the facilitation of assistance for returning OFWs, with guidance from Ms. Permalin K. Malapit, Pudtol Migrant Desk Officer.
The program is specifically designed for distressed OFWs who were unable to complete their contracts due to maltreatment, unpaid salaries, overwork, or medical issues. Its goal is to help them reintegrate into local employment and establish sustainable livelihood opportunities.
To avail of the assistance, returning OFWs are required to submit the following documents:
Valid Passport
Contract or Visa
Termination Letter (if applicable)
Medical Records (if applicable)
Referral from the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)
On behalf of the Municipal Mayor, Municipal Administrator Designate Mr. Silver Ian P. Dimaano expressed his gratitude to OWWA Apayao for their continued support to OFWs and encouraged recipients to make the most of the livelihood assistance they receive.
