On February 10, 2026, an Orientation on LGU Procurement Processes applying the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA) or Republic Act No. 12009 and its Modes of Procurement was conducted at the ECB Jr. Clubhouse, Poblacion, Pudtol.
The activity was attended by Department Heads and Section Heads together with their respective representatives, demonstrating the local government’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public procurement.
The orientation was facilitated by Municipal Administrator Designate and BAC Chairman, Mr. Silver Ian P. Dimaano, who provided comprehensive guidance on the salient provisions of RA 12009, particularly the updated modes of procurement and the responsibilities of end-user units in ensuring compliance with the law. He emphasized the accurate preparation and processes of procurement documents, and strict adherence to timelines to avoid delays and ensure smooth implementation of programs and projects.
The orientation served as a vital platform for clarifications, open discussions, and alignment of procurement practices across departments, ensuring that the Municipal Government remains compliant with national standards while advancing local development goals.
