Last February 16, 2026, the New Evacuation Center became a place where love stories were officially written into forever. A total of 27 couples exchanged vows in a beautiful Civil Mass Wedding ceremony, surrounded by hope, joy and heartfelt emotion.
The ceremony was solemnized by Atty. Edmar D. Pascua, who warmly congratulated the newlyweds and reminded them that marriage is a daily choice; to love, to forgive, to understand and to grow together. His message centered on building strong families founded on respect, faith and unwavering commitment.
The event marked not just the union of couples, but the beginning of new chapters, shared dreams, shared responsibilities and shared futures. Each β€œI do” echoed with sincerity, sealing promises that will guide them through both calm days and life’s storms.
Prior to the ceremony, pre-marriage counseling sessions were conducted by Ms. Lorraine A. Gumowang Ms. Divine B. Biton and Ms. Kathy Myer B. Vidad, equipping the couples with guidance and insights on building strong, healthy, and lasting marriages.
As part of the celebration, the Municipality made sure the couples felt truly valued and remembered. Each pair received their wedding portrait as a remembrance of their special day, a captured moment they can cherish for a lifetime. In addition, grocery supplies and a blanket were given to every couple, simple yet meaningful tokens symbolizing warmth, sustenance, and the community’s support as they begin their journey as husband and wife.
This meaningful event was held in celebration of the 36th Civil Registration Month, highlighting the importance of legal identity, proper documentation, and the strengthening of family foundations through civil registration.
Also present to witness and support the momentous occasion was the complete roster of the Sangguniang Bayan Members, led by Vice Mayor Hon. Teresita A. Bulsao.
The Municipality extends its sincere appreciation to the Municipal Civil Registry Office, led by Engr. Rodolfo A. Juan, Jr. and to the Municipal Tourism Office led by Ms. Jenny Claire T. Ilayat for successfully organizing the mass wedding. Gratitude is likewise given to all personnel who tirelessly assisted in the preparations and ensured the smooth flow of the program.
Indeed, February 16, 2026 will forever be remembered as a day of new beginnings; where love was celebrated, commitments were honored, and 27 beautiful journeys as husband and wife officially began.
May their love remain steady, quiet, and true; the kind that lasts a lifetime.
