The Municipality of Pudtol proudly joined the opening program of the 2026 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association (CARAA) Meet on February 22, 2026 at Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet, as delegations from across the region formally marked the start of this year’s competitions.
The Apayao delegation was led by Provincial Governor Hon. Elias C. Bulut, Jr., followed by provincial and municipal officials. Representing Pudtol, Atty. Edmar D. Pascua, Municipal Mayor, took part in the parade of contingents together with Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Teresita A. Bulsao, Municipal Administrator Designate Mr. Silver Ian P. Dimaano and Secretary to the Sanggunian Mr. Riel C. Pascua.
The ceremony featured the parade of contingents, the raising of the CARAA 2026 banner, and the lighting of the ceremonial torch. Anchored on the theme, “Sustaining a United and Healthier Cordillera through Sports,” this year’s meet highlights the role of athletics in strengthening cooperation, promoting wellness, and shaping resilient young leaders.
For Pudtol, participation in CARAA 2026 is more than competition; it is a celebration of hard work, determination, and community pride. The presence of Mayor Pascua, alongside other provincial leaders, underscores the local government’s unwavering commitment to youth development and sports excellence.
As the Pudtol athletes proudly marched alongside their fellow Cordilleran competitors, they carried not only their banners but also the encouragement of their leaders and community and as the games officially begin, Pudtol cheers on its athletes with confidence and pride, hopeful that they will not only compete with strength but also embody integrity, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the tournament.
