The Municipal Government of Pudtol, under the steadfast leadership of Mayor Hector Reuel D. Pascua, embarked on a proactive initiative to ensure the safety and security of both locals and tourists during the Ligtas SUMVAC 2024. Spearheaded by Mayor Pascua, who also serves as the chairperson of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, the endeavor aimed to create a secure environment for all amidst the influx of visitors during the summer vacation period.
In collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), the dedicated team was deployed to various tourist spots across Pudtol from March 27 to 31, 2024. Their presence not only provided reassurance but also served as a proactive measure to mitigate potential risks and respond effectively to any emergencies that may arise.
The concerted efforts of the local government, BFP, and PNP ensured that comprehensive safety measures were in place, including regular patrols, inspection of recreational facilities, and dissemination of safety guidelines to the public. By proactively addressing potential hazards and promoting awareness, the Ligtas SUMVAC 2024 initiative aimed to create a conducive environment for everyone to enjoy their vacation responsibly.
